What if I don't remember my security questions?

For security and privacy reasons, the security questions and answers you set when confirming your Cledara Spend card are fully encrypted.

This means that no one (not even the Cledara team) can view, edit, or reset them once they have been submitted.

How to set up new questions

If you can no longer remember your answers, a Spend Admin will need to order a new Spend card for you to regain the ability to make online payments.

Order a new card, not a replacement card.

A new card ensures you are prompted to set up fresh security questions and answers during the card confirmation process. In contrast, a replacement card may retain the original set of security questions, which would leave you still unable to authorise payments.

Recommendation: Switch to Virtual

When ordering your new card, we recommend creating a virtual card.

Virtual cards are available immediately for online payments, so you won't have to wait for a physical card to arrive in the mail.

Your current card still works

Security questions are only required for online payments. When you make in-person payments, only your card PIN is needed.

Therefore, if your current card is physical, or if you have added it to a digital wallet, you can continue to make in-person payments as usual.
