If you need to disable a Spend card for any reason, you can do so in a couple of clicks!
Simply open the card, and click the Disable icon underneath the card:
This will temporarily lock the card, and we will stop authorising any payment requests.
If a card is disabled by a Spend Admin, it will have to be reactivated by a Spend Admin.
Therefore, if you are a cardholder with either a Spend Accountant or a Spend User role, and a Spend Admin has disabled your card, you will not be able to reactivate it by yourself. You will need someone with a Spend Admin role to help you get your card back up and running.
Disabling vs Closing a card
Disabling a card is a reversible action. To reactivate the card, simply toggle it back on. However, once a card is disabled, you will see the option to close the card.
Closing a card is an irreversible action. Confirming this action will permanently delete the card details, which means:
You will not be able to access the PAN.
You will not be able to report the card as lost, stolen, or damaged and get a replacement card.
You will not be able to reactivate the card.
Once a card has been closed, you will see the card limit that was used up until the point the card was closed.
Reactivating a card
