Approval flows

Approval flows are available in our Premium and Pro plans.

In this article, we introduce how Approval flows work in Cledara:

  Approval flow
  Dual Approval flow

To learn more about how Approval flows and Approval thresholds work, please check out the Approval flow case studies.

Approval flow

Approval flow is a feature that requests the approval of Admins or the corresponding Team managers before a new application can be created or a budget detail can be changed.

Regular users who are set as team members can set up free applications directly, yet if it is a paid service, a request will be sent to their Team manager and Admins so they can approve the budget.

As an Admin, you can turn on Approval flows and, if you want, set up Approval thresholds by going to Settings > Workspace Settings > Preferences:

Before activating the approval flow, we recommend setting up teams and assigning each person the correct role.

Dual Approval flow

Looking for a more complex approval flow that adapts to your company's multi-level structure?

Dual Approval flow allows Cledara admins to set a second-level approver to authorise all new applications in your organization. This creates a deeper level of control and will automatically route approvals to the team member of your choice.

Upon turning this feature on, you will be able to select who the second approver should be. They will approve new applications and budget changes after the Team manager or an Admin has done so.
