When will my transfer to Cledara arrive?

Once your money is received by Cledara, it will appear in your account straight away. The time it takes to reach Cledara depends on the currency and your method of sending the transfer:

Bank transfers in GBP

  • We recommend using Faster Payments (FPS) to top up your account. Your funds will normally be available in your Cledara account within 2 minutes, but it can take up to 2 hours.
  • If you send GBP with Bankers' Automated Clearing System (BACS), it may take up to 3 working days for the transfer to be received.

Bank transfers in EUR

  • We recommend using instant SEPA for immediate transfers up to €100k.
  • If you send EUR via SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT) and are usually received the next working day if sent in the morning, or two days later if sent in the afternoon.

Direct Debit transfers in GBP and EUR

  • Transfers via direct debit typically take 4–5 business days to appear in your Cledara account.

The expected arrival time of your transfer is dependent on your bank's cut-off time. Check with your bank to estimate when you should arrange your transfer to be in time for your payment.

Troubleshoot

If the funds do not appear in your account after 3 working days

Many parties are involved in making your transfers happen, but the first thing you need to check is that your transfer instructions are correct:

  • The beneficiary name and address match that of your company
  • You are sending the same currency as the destination account
  • You used the correct BIC for the currency you are sending

If any of the above details are not correct, your funds likely will not reach us. Please reach out to your bank to call back the transfer, and initiate a new one with the correct details after that.

If the account details are correct, but you don't see your funds

Check your transfer receipt or confirmation for the type of transfer you have instructed.

The transfer has been made via SWIFT if:

  • There is a UETR (unique end-to-end transaction reference) for your transfer
  • There is an extra charge for your transfer

Cledara does not process SWIFT transfers.

If a transfer is sent via SWIFT, the funds will be automatically returned to your bank account through the SWIFT network. To complete your top-up, please arrange a new transfer using SEPA or SEPA Instant instead.

If everything looks good, but your funds have not arrived within the expected timeframe

Please reach out to support@cledara.com with a copy of your transfer confirmation. We will investigate it with our payment provider.
