Give users access to Cledara Spend

The Primary Contact and Admins of the workspace have the ability to give existing users access to Cledara Spend.

This is done by going to Settings > Workspace Settings > Members, and select Edit, followed by Edit role next to the user:

Under the Spend role column, simply select the Spend user role you wish the user to have, before saving the change:

Only the Primary Contact has the ability to assign Spend Admin roles.

Admins that are not the Primary Contact have the permission to assign Spend Accountant and Spend User roles for non-Admin users.

Where do I see each user's workspace roles and Spend roles?

The assigned roles are reflected on the Members page, where you can see which users have access to Cledara Spend and their Spend roles:

How do I assign cards to people who have not joined the Cledara workspace yet?

First, you have to invite them to your Cledara workspace before assigning them their Spend role.

If the user status is Pending, you can create a new card for the user, and they will be given the Spend User role automatically.

Once they have accepted the invite, you can change their Spend role in the Members tab.


I'm a Spend Admin in Cledara, why can't I invite new users?

It is important to note that the role assigned in Cledara Spend is independent of the main role assigned for your Cledara workspace.

For example, a person could be a User in the workspace, but assigned the role of a Spend Admin in Cledara Spend.

With this setup, the user can access all the Spend tabs, but won't be able to invite new members to the workspace, or change SaaS management features such as Approval flows.
