Keeping your AI expenses on track shouldn't require manual, daily monitoring.
With AI Dashboard, SaaS Admins and SaaS Finance users can set up automated budget alerts to proactively manage your spending. By configuring these notifications, you will receive an instant heads-up the moment your AI API usage approaches your predefined budget, allowing you to optimise costs and prevent unexpected overages before they happen.

Then, follow these steps to configure the Set up budget alert window:

Set your usage threshold.
Enter the percentage threshold at which you want to be notified. Then, use the dropdown menu to select the budget frequency. You can reference the visual progress bar below this field to see your current real-time spending and the budget threshold.
-
Select the recipient(s) of the alert.
From the dropdown, select the specific team members who need to be notified when the budget threshold is crossed.
-
Customise your alert message (optional).
In the Message field, you can write a custom note to your team providing context or action items.
-
Save your alert.
Review your settings and click the Set budget alert button to activate the notification. If you need to back out without saving, simply click Cancel.

Once an alert is configured, it will be displayed directly on the connected API card within your dashboard. This allows you to see your active threshold settings at a single glance without having to open any settings menus:
Edit or delete alerts
You can set up one alert per connection. If you need to make changes or remove an alert entirely, you can do so by clicking the bell icon on the connected API card to open the Set up budget alert popup window:
- To Edit: Modify the threshold percentage, recipients, or message as needed, and then click the Edit budget alert button to save your changes.
- To Delete: Click the red Delete button at the bottom of the popup window to remove the alert completely from that connection.
