To start managing your spending with Cledara, the first step is to top up your account by arranging a bank transfer.
In the Spend > Overview tab, Spend Admins will find the Top up button:
Clicking on it will open a new window displaying the bank account details required to transfer funds to your Cledara account. This includes the bank account number, BIC/SWIFT code, and other essential details.
From your GBP account, you will see:
- Account name
- Account number
- Sort code
- Payment institution name
From your EUR account, you will see:
- Account name
- BIC
- IBAN
- Payment institution name
Please arrange your transfer via SEPA.
Transfers via SWIFT are not supported. If your transfer is arranged via SWIFT, it will bounce back to your bank account.
With these details in hand, simply log in to your online bank and arrange a transfer to your Cledara account.

FAQs
What are the beneficiary's name and address?
The beneficiary’s name and address should be your company’s name and address. Since your Cledara account is under your company's name, you are simply transferring funds between two of your company's accounts.
What currency should the transfer be in?
The currency you send should match that of your account. If the transfer is sent in a different currency, it will be returned.
What happens if the wrong BIC is used?
Using the wrong BIC/SWIFT code can prevent the transfer from reaching your Cledara account. If this happens, you will need to contact your bank to recall the funds and arrange a new transfer.
How do I automate the transfer?
To streamline the process, you can set up a standing order with your bank. This will automatically transfer funds to your Cledara account at regular intervals, ensuring your account is always topped up.
